Friday, September 1st is an early release day at St. Mary's School. School will dismiss at 12:00 on ALL early release days this year. It is a
REGULAR UNIFORM
dress day. Extended Day Care is available for students in PK(3)-5th Grade.
Whatanight it was
Thank you, SMS families and friends for turning out for our Apache Whatanight. Whataburger gave 20% of sales back to SMS so we received $810! It was a great night off from cooking and families got to dine out together. We appreciate Whataburger supporting St. Mary's!
We hope to have one Apache Night Out a month so look for the announcement for September.

1st Place in the Gillespie County Fair Parade
Congratulations to our spirited Jr. High Athletics that won a 1st place!

In the wake of the devastation experienced on the Texas coast, St. Mary's Catholic School is looking to answer BIG! We will be sending home information soon with our plan of action, but in the meantime, we will begin by collecting HEB cards to send to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Come in and do your part by purchasing an HEB card for those who have lost so much.
Presentation on the Family
Deacon Andy Thomas will be presenting a reflection on the family titled, "The Domestic Church in the Modern World," on Thursday, September 28, in the Holy Family Center at 6:30 p.m.

Shirts are high-quality, soft cotton material. A big shout-out to Trish Rawls and Buffy Frantzen for all their hard work in getting this shirt design together! Shirt orders are due THIS FRIDAY by 4:00 in the front office. Shirt orders may be turned into your child's homeroom teacher.

It's never difficult to spot an Apache in a crowd because our families are always supporting St. Mary's School by sporting their Apache gear. We are preparing our official St. Mary's spirit shirt design for the 2017-2018 school year that may be worn by our students on spirit days. Box Tops/Glasses/Can Tabs
St. Mary's is collecting Box Tops for Education (please check expiration dates), lightly used glasses, and aluminum can tabs. Students should turn these into their homeroom teachers. We will be collecting them throughout the year.
