Service Opportunity!
 Pumpkin Painting
with Nursing Home Residents

When: Friday, October 20th
Where: Meet at the Newman House
Time: 2:30pm

Mother Teresa said that the greatest poverty is loneliness. We live in a world with a lot of lonely people and there are few places lonelier than a nursing home. Join us this Friday as we give nursing home residents the gift of our presence and joy! Meet us at the Newman House at 2:30pm.

Winter Break Mission Trip:

Bethlehem Farm, West Virginia
$350/person

When you go on a mission trip, you expect to make a difference in other people's lives. Then you come back realizing that those very people you came to serve were the ones who changed your life and perspective in ways you could not have anticipated .

Do not be afraid. Join us!

$50 and the application form is due when you sign up to hold your spot! Applications are due by November 1st!
"A Weight off your Shoulders"
Day-Hike to the Pinnacle is full!
We are full but if you want to be put on our waiting list, respond to this email. We are also hoping to do this again in the spring, so stay posted!

Are you currently struggling with a burden or have big something weighing on your shoulders? 

"A Weight off Your Shoulders" day hike is a mini spiritual/physical exercise to help relieve your troubles! On Sunday, October 22nd , we will get a small group together for a day-long hike. 


For those going:

Sunday, October 22; 8:00am - 4:00pm (approximately)

Meet at the Newman House at 8:00pm and we will carpool together!
Come early to pack your own lunch at the Newman House.

Bring a small backpack, a good pair of shoes, some water and an open heart!

Looking for a community to connect with? There's no better way than to meet others around the dinner table! For only $1, you can get a delicious home-cooked meal - family-style! Bring some friends with you too!

The Pinnacle Day-Hike: Meet at the Newman House at 8:00am

Confession: 5:15pm - 5:45pm; St. Columba Catholic Church, (Iron Street)
Do not be afraid of the Sacrament of God's Mercy!

University Mass: 6:00pm; St. Columba Catholic Church (Iron Street)
Worship with the university community and be fed by the Word of God and the Eucharist!

Eucharistic Adoration: 4:00pm - 5:00pm; Newman House Chapel

Small Group: 7:00pm - 8:00pm ; Starbucks Gathering Place
