George P. Shultz '38  served as the 60th U.S. secretary of state from 1982 to 1989, in the Reagan administration. Previously, he had served as director of the Office of Management and Budget, as secretary of the treasury, and as secretary of labor. Before his public service to the nation, he taught economics at M.I.T. and the University of Chicago and served as dean of the University of Chicago School of Business. He was also president of Bechtel and is now a distinguished fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He is the author of  Turmoil and Triumph: My Years as Secretary of State

Admissions Tip: Application Options

At Loomis, we are pleased to offer two online application options: Gateway to Prep Schools application and SAO (SSAT) application. Please choose the application that works best for your family as well as the one that is recommended by your school. Loomis has no preference of application. If you haven't started working on your application yet, this is a good time to start. Our deadline in January 16, 2017.

The girls soccer team beat Buckingham Browne & Nichols 5-1 in the quarterfinal round of the Class A New England Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at home in the Meadows.
