Congratulations to riders who participated in the USHJA Zones 5 & 6 Jumper Team Championships!
In the Children's/Adult Amateur (1.10/1.15m) Team Championship, Zone
5's Madelyn Cardelli, Eden Fry, Natalie Schaffer and Stefanie Shaw earned the gold medal. Clara Ciancuillo, Sarah Korenthal and Adeline Pavlin made up the silver medal team, and Lisa Baker, Katie Hlis, Margaret Martin and Katherine Savarise made up the bronze medal team.
In the Junior/Amateur (1.20/1.25 & 1.30/1.35) Team Championship, Rebecca Cohen, Kristen Franz, Adeline Rohrbach and Molly Struve earned the gold medal. Hannah Bilton, Christie Rugh-Bileddo and Kate Shaughnessy earned the silver medal and Kyle Perkovich, Celia Bresch and Isaiah Wiseman made up the team that took home the bronze medal. In the Ch/AA (1.10/1.15m) Individual Championships,
Jennifer Cardelli
took home the gold medal,
Ponce Tidwell III
earned silver and Stefanie Shaw earned bronze.

Individual medalists at the Championships were named Gold Star Emerging Jumper Riders as part of the USHJA Emerging Jumper Rider Program. The medalists will be invited to attended a Gold Star Clinic early next year.

In the Children's Team Championships,
Ellie Beard, Maddie Fisher and Elliott Hodge earned the gold medal. Dayna Pochron, Marian Sykes and Anna Tokich secured silver and Hayley Anderson, Olivia Barkell and Shea Alexa McCoy took home bronze.
Ashley Abbruzzi, Dawn Kelly and Carolyn Sanders took home the gold medal in the Adult Amateur Team Championship. Linda McRae, Leslie Richman and Cecilia Winfrey earned silver, and Nicola Fry, Victoria Franovich-Johnson and Maria Kogen took home the bronze medal. Sophia Koolwick Awarded Zone 5 College Scholarship
|
Congratulations to Zone 5's
Sophia Koolwick, 19, of Ortonville, Michigan, who was awarded the Zone 5 College Scholarship in Honor of Mindy Darst thanks to the USHJA Zone 5 Committee.
"I am so honored and thrilled to be the recipient of the 2017 USHJA Zone 5 Scholarship," Koolwick said. "This award truly has been life changing as it is allowing me to transfer to my dream school of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. At SMU I will continue to pursue a double major in business and journalism and will represent the Mustangs as a D1 athlete on their equestrian team."
