October 19, 2017
Dear Friends,
By now, you should have received a letter from Pastor Megan regarding the calling God has placed in her life to become the Executive Director at Door of Hope. Although I certainly grieve the loss of Megan's incredible pastoral leadership at our church, I am excited for her and for Door of Hope, and thank God for leading in her life. You can expect to hear more soon regarding celebrating Megan and her ministry, and how we plan to move forward following her transition.

Last Sunday, Pastor Megan encouraged us to let God form our "Disciple DNA" by spending time with Jesus, putting his words into practice, or connecting with spiritual brothers and sisters who help you follow Jesus.
If you missed her message, you can watch it here:
The DNA of a Disciple
The DNA of a Disciple
We also took a special offering for fire relief in Northern California, and if you would like to still give, click here.
This Sunday, we will continue in our Follow series, and will be looking at the story of Jesus, and his disciple Peter, walking on water.
So glad to be in community with all of you, following Jesus together!

Peace, in Christ,
Pastor Jeff

We also encourage you to connect through the following events:
It's Operation Christmas Child time again at LCPC! Until November 19, shoeboxes filled with necessities and toys will be collected in the Narthex and on the breezeway. Soon thereafter, the boxes will be on their way to delighted children in over 100 countries.

Join us for a Mexican feast! Download a flyer from our website (or show it on your phone) and present to your server at Los Gringos Locos when you order. Parent Ed receives 15% donation from your purchase on WED, OCT 25, 11am-10pm.
Featured speakers include: Jeff Hoffmeyer, Ronald C. White, Janna Gosselin, and more.  A gathering of Bible scholars, historians and theologians to help us explore and consider the Bible's role in the life of the believer. INFO & TIX available at www.glenpres.org.
In celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, our Chancel Choir and LCPC Orchestra will present a concert of music significant to the Reformation, including works by Martin Luther, Bach's Cantata No. 80 "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5 " Reformation."
It's an exciting time to be joining LCPC, and Pastor Jeff will lead this class together with the other pastors. Join us to explore more about what it means to follow Jesus as part of this church family. This class is just as relevant for people still in the exploring stage as those interested in becoming a member.
