Pastor Berg's Message
 G ratitude

Giving thanks is another of those central tenants of the faith. We are to offer up our thanks to God regularly. And it is good for us to remember to be disciplined in our faith and to practice the art of thanksgiving.

Besides, there is scientific research that shows that a person who practices gratitude can significantly increase well-being and life satisfaction. UC Davis psychologist Robert Emmons researched the practice of gratitude and concluded that when a person practices the discipline of gratitude they not only improve their sense of well-being in the short term, but that this improved sense continues over time.

So, how does one practice gratitude?

History of Lutherans and Catholics.
For 50 years the Lutheran World Federation and the Roman Catholic Church has been in dialogue. This conversation cumulated this past October 31, 2016 with LWF President Bishop Dr. Munib Younan and Pope Francis signing a joint statement during a shared worship service in Lund, Sweden. Much of the world looked on with a yawn, but historically this is a big deal. Join us on Sunday mornings to discuss and learn about the importance of this event and what it might mean for the future. Led by Pastor Berg.

Thank You!

Dear FLC family,

Thank you so much much for your prayers, cards, flowers and kind words following my dad's death in October.  Also, thank you very much for allowing me the time to spend with my dad while he was ill, and with my mom, getting her situated. As an only child, I appreciate it more than I can say.

Thank you again,

Kristin and Ken Smith

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action).

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
