Holidays are No Different - Always Document

Pain may not show up until days after an accident!
Many of you will be traveling for over the holidays to visit family in other city or state. Sometimes the weather gets bad or the roads get icy during these months of heavy travel. Hudson Law Firm reminds you to travel safe and be careful. But, if an accident injury occurs over the holidays, remember the accident and your injuries must be documented contemporaneous with the accident date. The cold adjuster will not care that you got hurt over the holidays and will still expect documentation of your injury claim.
So, make sure you still call the local authorities in that other city or state so the fact of an accident happening and how it happened are properly documented. That way, we can retrieve a copy of the accident report from that jurisdiction at a later date.
Likewise, if you are injured in an accident, it is important to seek some type of medical treatment soon after the accident to document your injury that was caused by the other driver's negligence. Although the temptation might be to wait until you get home, it can be horrible for your personal injury claim to wait several days or a week or more until you return home to go see a doctor for the first time. Most cities have a 24 hour emergency clinic or hospital ER you can go to for pain medication and other treatment until your holiday trip is over, and you can then follow-up with your own doctor. Please also note that having an attorney involved as early as possible will maximize the success of your personal injury claim. So, please give us a call over the holidays if you or someone you love gets hurt in an automobile accident. We can assist with everything that needs to get done so you can concentrate on getting healthy and hopefully enjoying some time with family and friends. Soccer Champions & Halloween: Blaine as Tape Face
|

|
|
My son's soccer team recently finished their second undefeated soccer season in a row. The Championship game again went into overtime this year, but no one scored. So, the game went into a shootout. There were ten shootout free kicks before Blaine's team finally won. Wow, it was nerve-wrenching to watch it as a parent. The smile on Blaine's face in the picture says it all about how proud he was to win the first place trophy.
If you watched America's Got Talent or AGT this past summer, you will recognize my son's Halloween costume this year as "Tapeface." Our family loves watching this show every summer, especially considering there is not much else on during the summer. We all got a big kick out of the funny antics of Tapeface, who was one of the finalists this year. As you can see, the real Tapeface literally has a large piece of tape over his mouth. Blaine was concerned about not being able to talk to his friend while trick-or-treating, so we decided to just paint over his mouth with makeup to look like a strip of tape. Not everybody recognized who he was, at first, but he still had a great time getting tons of candy.

Hudson Law Firm has an Accident App! Our new accident App will remind you of all the important information to gather at the accident scene, such as:
- Photographs and video of all vehicles and the intersection;
- Other driver's insurance, license plate number, phone number and driver's license;
- Witness contact information;
- Reporting officer's name, badge number, and accident report number;
- Location of the accident; and
- Time of the accident.
All of the photos and other information can be stored in the App and, by press of a button, can easily be sent to Hudson Law Firm. Additionally, you can simply press a button to call our Firm directly or press other buttons to call the local police or to find a nearby hospital, tow truck, taxi service, body shop, etc. We are very excited about our new App and, while we hope you will not need to use it, we do hope you will download it now in case you need it down the road.
