Scouting Stars Celebrate Success
On October 13, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Idaho Falls, we celebrated ten amazing Girl Scouts from eastern Idaho for their outstanding accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to their communities.

Thanks to attendees and generous sponsors Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Corvettes of Southeast Idaho, Kohl's, Idaho Central Credit Union, and Bank of Commerce. The event raised more than $5,500 to support Girl Scout programs and activities in eastern Idaho.

Thanks also to our generous raffle donors: Five Guys, Idaho Falls Symphony, Jamba Juice, Mackenzie River Pizza, and the Museum of Idaho.
Update on CAP Shower House
Earlier this month at Camp Alice Pittenger in McCall, we said goodbye to our beloved 65-year-old, outdoor shower house and hello to the makings of a beautiful, brand-new shower house and restroom facility set to open in May of 2017.
The new facility will feature 8 shower stalls, toilets, sinks, and a private, ADA-compliant bathroom. The project cost, including site work and construction, is estimated to be $265,000-$275,000. We've been fundraising for 16 months to meet this cost and are happy to report that to date we have raised nearly $135,000 in cash contributions and $80,500 in locally-donated products and services. Heartfelt appreciation to our most recent major donors, Connie and Neil Miller and Esther Simplot, and many, many thanks to M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust for a grant in the amount of $65,000. More information about the shower house could be found here.

STEM is taking off!
From rockets to Finch robots, 3D printers, electric circuitry and coding, Girl Scouts of Silver Sage offers fun and educational activities in which girls can explore science, technology, engineering and math.

Most recently Girl Scouts visited Discovery Center of Idaho's ZAP! exhibit thanks to funding from Micron Foundation.

Since 2015, more than 1,000 girls have gained STEM knowledge through Girl Scouts of Silver Sage.
   Sock Goals
Last year, nearly 200 Girl Scouts collected 10,000 pairs of socks for those in need.  Troops running sock drives can come up with their own innovative ways to collect.  The troop record is 1,000 pairs of socks!

If you would like to help girls reach their sock goals, please hold your own sock drive or buy a few pairs and bring them to any Icon Credit Union location or Girl Scouts of Silver Sage office in Boise, Pocatello, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls.

Donor Spotlight: D.L. Evans

On October 19th, Chipotle opened its doors to Girl Scout supporters for a fundraiser. D.L. Evans Bank representative and Girl Scout fan, Tracy Marshall, explains why they champion our programs:

"D.L. Evans Bank supports Girl Scouts and their fundraising efforts because of their active engagement of youth in our community and how they build strong leaders. The Chipotle fundraiser was a fun way to support them."

Thank you for having lunch with us and turning your burritos into dollars!

'Tis the season
Girl Scouts of Silver Sage would like to wish you and your family a happy holiday season. We are grateful for your friendship and your support.

As you consider holiday gift-giving and year-end tax deductible contributions, please think of us! We are in need of funding for various council programs and activities. Below is a holiday wish list. Please consider a gift for the program or activity that is closest to your heart.

Girls Scouts of Silver Sage Council Holiday Wish List:
