Christ has no body now on earth but yours; no hands but yours; no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which the compassion of Christ must look out on the world. Yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good. Yours are the hands with which He is to bless His people. -Teresa of Avila

Over the past days we have watched the devastation in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Our brothers and sisters in Texas and Louisiana need our help. In response to our call as Christians to be "the hands and feet of Christ" Episcopal Relief & Development has plans in place to help now and the certain long recovery of the region. ERD offers assistance in a variety of ways in the name of the Episcopal Church to all people. ERD is well positioned because of its established network of relationships with dioceses, parishes, and church related organizations that knows and is part of the community in crisis and therefore more effective in providing aid.

From our Outreach Funds The Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea is committing $10,000 in the name of Bethesda. Please prayerfully consider what you and your family are able to give in support of sisters and brothers in Texas and Louisiana.
