Dear Chamber Friend,

Thank you for supporting the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce! This bi-monthly email is sent to hundreds of members and friends of the Chamber, highlighting some of the sales, specials, accomplishments and events of our membership, and shared on social media.

If you are a Chamber member and you'd like to 'connect' with fellow members and the community, please email your advertisement (with up to 2 .pdf, .jpg, or .png images) to [email protected] at least 2 days prior to our issue dates of the 1st and 15th of the month.

The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce provides the opportunity for our Members to advertise on the digital sign at Centre 2000. For flight schedule, rate card, contract terms, and design guidelines, please contact Leah Fujarczuk, Membership Sales & Services Manager, by email at [email protected] or by phone at 780-532-5340.

UPCOMING ALBERTA ENERGY CHANGES
AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOU!

The GOA recently announced a cap on the regulated rate option (RRO) for electricity of 6.8 cents/kWh, commencing June 2017 through June 2021.

Good news - all of our current fixed rates, some extending to the end of 2020, are substantially lower than this number!

Chamber members get exclusive fixed rates to the end of 2018 starting at 5.25 cents/kWh, and to the end of 2020 starting at 5.95 cents/kWh!

Our Variable Rate for electricity is also extremely low,
only 2.95 cents/kWh right now!

Visit www.peacepower.ca, click Sign Up, choose one of our "Advantage" rates, and enter "YAHOOPEACE" into the Referral Code box.

On December 11th the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre is filming a music video, which will be used to raise awareness and resources for suicide awareness.  We need your help!  The video requires between 380 and 500 people in the Douglas Cardinal Theatre as the chorus.  A strong singing voice is not required, as you will be one voice in the madding crowd.  What is required is a sense of adventure, and the desire to support community!

Please arrive at 10 AM, and wear a neutral or light coloured top.  Avoid white, black, obvious patterns and logos.  Wear your cool hat or favorite scarf, if you like.  It is helpful to us if you pre-register, but it is not essential.  You can do that on our website at
www.sp-rc.ca/shine-your-light-registration
