Update: Miller Avenue Bus Stops

Recently, residents have asked about the existing bus stop conditions, particularly at Reed and Una Way on Miller Avenue. Hearing the community's concerns, Vice Mayor Moulton Peters reached out to the transit agencies to learn more about the ownership and maintenance of the bus shelters on Miller Avenue.

As a result, the bus stop at the corner of Reed and Miller Avenue has been vastly improved with new paint and plexiglass. In the next few weeks, Golden Gate Transit will make improvements to the bus stop at Una Way and Miller Avenue.

City staff has also improved the Shelter at Sunnyside by Boo Koo Restaurant, allowing more space for the redwood tree, fixing the roof structure and placing a new bench at the stop.

Thank you to Golden Gate Transit, Vice Mayor Moulton-Peters and Public Works Staff!

Enhanced Speed and Traffic Enforcement

The Mill Valley Police Department is aware of heightened traffic concerns on Miller Avenue and is addressing these concerns with enhanced speed, traffic, and parking enforcement. Police Officers are conducting regular and special patrols which target specific pedestrian, bicycle or motor vehicle operation violations.

Motorists: Be sure to drive the speed limit, come to a full stop at stop signs, and stop for pedestrians when they are crossing the street.

Cyclists: Ride single file, observe the speed limit, come to a full stop at stop signs, and stop for pedestrians when they are crossing the street.

Pedestrians: Cross streets at marked crosswalks or intersections, look both ways before crossing the street, don't be distracted by your mobile device while crossing - look up and make eye contact with drivers.

If we all work together, we can make Miller Avenue safer for all!
