/ .Our annual fall festival is just around the corner! So get your crock pot and award-worthy chili recipes ready. We're sprucing up the festival this year. / .
You heard it here: the overnight campout returns this year. ANYONE who would like to camp out individually or as a family is welcome to set up their tent Saturday and plan to stay the night. Children planning to stay should have an adult staying with them
(middle and high school teenagers will be part of an EYC camping event and do not have to have a parent/adult stay with them).
/ .
We will wrap up the night will end with a large bonfire and compline, with music led by the EYC. Then as we're settling down for the night, we'll have a large-screen, outdoor movie on the lawn with popcorn and s'mores. The Knights will have breakfast ready for those staying the night as well as those coming for Mass Sunday morning from 8:00-11:00 am.
/ .

ACTIVE FAITH
. .
Sunday mornings we have two opportunities for adults. The Rector's Forum meets in the Chapel and is discussing "Active Faith."
Using material from noted scholars and national Christian leaders, such as Brian McLaren, Lillian Daniel, Nadia Bolz-Weber, and others, we will discuss together basics of Christian faith: God, Religion, Jesus, Salvation, the Cross, the Bible, and the Church Catholic.
I AM A CHURCH MEMBER
. .
Also on Sunday mornings, a class facilitated by Linda Reid, called "I Am A Church Member" meets in the Library (cottage #102) through October 15. It's gotten off to a fantastic start, and it's not too late to start attending.

Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm
Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30 pm, join us for a light supper, fellowship and program called "Soul Food." We gather to nourish our bodies with favorite meals from fellow parishioners kitchens and then over coffee and dessert discuss what nourishes our souls.
6:30-8:00 pm in the Narthex.
Thursdays, 12:00 & 12:30
Thursdays there are two opportunities to grow your faith. First at 12n, we gather in the chapel to pray the Rosary. Then at 12:30 pm, we gather in the narthex for Bible Study. Beginning October 19, we'll begin reading and discussing the book, "Jesus: An Interview Across Time," which is a book written by a author and noted psychiatrist who delves into Jesus' humanity.

ALL PARISHIONERS ARE INVITED!
On October 15th at 5pm, EYC will be hosting a youth led liturgy!
Guest Speaker
Iyabo Onipede will deliver the homily, sharing about her work with immigrants and refugees in the Clarkston, Ga community.
A potluck dinner will follow the service.
EYC has been working to understand what it means for our
FAITH
to
WORK
for
JUSTICE
.
A part of this requires attending to our neighbor, those in our backyard (the Clarkston community) who need the church's service.
