Greetings World Cup Parents,
It's beginning to smell a lot like Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of those great holidays that not only gives us an excuse to use our ovens here at World Cup, but offers great learning opportunities for our students.
Our teachers are engaging the children in Thanksgiving crafts and stories that help
reinforce lessons in sharing and being thankful. The children will use their math and science skills to help measure and mix for the delicious breads they will prepare for their Thanksgiving feasts. They will also practice their bilateral coordination while they color, glue and paint their holiday hats. The culmination of all these activities will be a celebration where they will join other classrooms to share a meal and have an opportunity to practice their social skills with old and new friends.
There are so many ways that children can get involved in preparing for this wonderful holiday. Have them decorate your table, count out napkins, greet guests or even scrub potatoes. It is a great opportunity for you to create traditions and help your children feel that they are an important part of the celebration.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Warm regards,
