Scott Hodgson's Thanksgiving Newsletter
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! -  What a year 2016 has been. As Lanier and I sit down to celebrate Thanksgiving today, we have so much for which to be thankful.  For the first time, we are celebrating Thanksgiving as a family of three. We are grateful for friends and families who have loved us over the last year as we welcomed Bailey into this world and then walked with us through her health scare. We have felt love from so many of you and we'll never be able to repay you all. It's our hope that Bailey will know just how much she was loved by each of you.

Lanier and I are so grateful for all the relationships we have made over the last decade on staff with FCA. All of the families that I connected with through camps, tournaments, local events have helped shape me as a man, husband, and now father.

Our little family's prayer is that regardless of the challenges 2016 may have brought, that you are able to take some time as a family to reflect on all of the blessings that God has bestowed on you. I know that my family can see the hand of God in every trial, every memory and every moment of 2016. We hope the same for you and your family today. Thank you all for playing such an enormous role in making this year such a treasure.

Happy Thanksgiving!

#GivingTuesdayAs has been the case in recent Thanksgivings, the past few days you may have noticed the hashtag #GivingTuesday in emails and across various social media platforms. The fifth annual #GivingTuesday is Tuesday, November 29, 2016. The idea behind this national movement is simple: just as Black Friday drives shoppers in droves to retailers, #GivingTuesday aims to encourage generous givers to support charities across the country. FCA is again partnering with this this effort and we hope to see our network of supporters come together for #GivingTuesday.

For those of you who may be new to our ministry family, you may be unaware that FCA is completely faith-funded. End of year gifts play an enormous role in budgeting for the coming year. Should you choose to partner with FCA, please know that your gift will directly impact athletes and coaches throughout the country. It will go towards FCA's end of year giving goal of $75,000.  If you choose to sign up to become an Automatic Monthly Partner (AMP) your monthly gift will be multiplied by 12 to be counted towards the FCA end of the year goal. As always, y our donation made on this day is fully tax deductible.

If you and your family feel led to partner with FCA and would like to support me either with a special end of the year gift or a monthly gift you can do so easily by  clicking here.

We would be incredibly thankful if you would prayerfully consider joining FCA in the national movement of giving. Your spirit of generosity is what keeps this ministry going.
