Cary Grant Series: "The Philadelphia Story"
Knickerbocker Theater
December 5, 7 :30 p.m.

Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn and James Stewart star in The Philadelphia Story, a 1940 American romantic comedy about a socialite whose wedding plans are complicated by the simultaneous arrival of her ex-husband and a tabloid magazine journalist. This is the third of four Cary Grant films featured in the Knickerbocker Theater's One Night Only Series.

Tickets are $5.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel 
The program of Christmas carols and traditional anthems is presented by the college's Department of Music and features more than 200 performers in the historic Dimnent Memorial Chapel. The services feature a variety of Hope instrumental and vocal groups as well as the college's historic Skinner organ.

Brand New Knickerbocker Film Series Blog!

The Knickerbocker film series blog aims to explore the variety of film series that Hope College as well as adding in some interesing side conversations (Upcoming -- our Christmas movie recommendations). We'll use this as a platform to interact with our readers and give you the inside scoop on the film series currently being shown. You'll also find a little background information, as well as interesting facts regarding the star actor in these series or the films themselves. The blog is a great way to enlighten interested movie goers! 

A Charlie Brown Christmas
Holland Civic Theatre

Charlie Brown decides to direct the school's Christmas pageant. He attempts to restore the proper holiday spirit through the help of Linus to really demonstrate the true meaning of Christmas.

Faculty Recital - Genevieve Beaulieu, Bassoon

Bassoonis Dr. Genevieve Beaulieu, faculty member and professor, will be performing "Bachianas Brasileiras No. 6," by Heitor Villa-Lobos; "Bassoon Concerto No. 2," by Victor Bruns; "Elegy," by Jocelyn Hagen; and "Adagio et Saltarelle," by Paul Vidal. 

Admission is free.

Holland Symphony Orchestra 
Dimnent Chapel
December 10, 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Holland Symphony Orchestra and the Holland Chorale invite the community to their festive Holiday Celebration Concerts. The concert opens with the Chorale singing, "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing". Continuing the orchestra will be playing a variety of songs such as "Not in Our Town" as well as several movements such as the "Nutcracker" and "Ancient Airs and Dances"
