Sept 13
People judge you by how you communicate. Learn the secrets to coming across as positive, credible, friendly, and professional ... and watch your results soar!
It's a fact: The ability to communicate effectively can make or break your career. Don't believe it? Consider this staggering statistic from a survey of U.S. businesses: "Inability to communicate" and "poor communication skills" were listed as the top reasons for employees not succeeding on the job.
That probably comes as no surprise to you, because as a professional today you've seen time and again how people who have first-rate communication skills go farther faster in their organizations than those who don't. But contrary to popular belief, the ability to communicate with finesse and diplomacy isn't a gift that some are born with and the rest of us lack. It's a skill that can be learned and mastered, just like any other skill.

Sept 15
We can't make negative and toxic employees disappear from your life-but we can promise that you'll know how to deal with them more effectively. Imagine, after just one amazing day ... no more sleepless nights spent recounting the day's ugly adventures ... and no more commutes to work dreading the day ahead. You'll develop a more positive management approach and a whole new outlook for your difficult employees the very next day back at work!
If negativity is draining your enthusiasm and affecting your team's performance-and difficult people are making work miserable-you NEED this training NOW!

Sept 18
This communication skills seminar is for anyone who wants to hear others clearly and respond appropriately when feeling challenged, overwhelmed or "on the spot"...gain collaboration when presenting new ideas instead of trying to seize control...and have thoughtful and diplomatic interactions in difficult situations.
How well you communicate can make or break your professional image, influencing how others view your work, your performance...even your technical skill sets and your prospects for career mobility. This communication skills seminar will teach you how to choose and use the most appropriate words and emotional tone for every business situation. In just two days, you'll gain insights into your communication style and that of others, while providing you with skills for clearly and effectively receiving and transmitting information, ideas, thoughts, feelings and needs.

Sept 19 - 20
The training field can change fast. New methodologies. New discoveries about the way adults learn. Changing expectations from trainees-and from your company. It's a tough job. Now you don't have to go it alone or try to keep up by the "seat of your pants." This powerful seminar from AMA puts the latest trends and techniques at your fingertips. Whether you've been training for a while or never stepped onto a platform before, this workshop will show you how to build confidence, engage your audience and leave your trainees singing your praises as a trainer.

Sept 28
Nearly all work involves interaction with others and communication of some sort. Clear, persuasive communication - between individuals, within teams, among departments -- is a vital part of any successful organization.
Developed specifically to meet the needs of today's working woman, this communication training offers valuable insights you can use to enhance your communication style while earning the respect and cooperation of others. You'll learn to speak up with composure and confidence. We'll help you unearth self-defeating attitudes and replace them with positive expectations. You'll get tips to help you deal with trembling hands, "butterflies," and other nervous symptoms.

This just in...some news should be fake. Luckily, savvy experts at Denver's own Bovine Metropolis Theater are stepping in to corner the market with their new, fully improvised show, "Fake Network News."
Performed in the style of Meet the Press, AC 360 and other cable news programs, FNN features interviews, recurring segments and round-table discussions between their fake news anchors and a 'virtual who's who' of counterfeit experts, pundits and commentators.
"The fakest of the fake. (@BovineMetro) Sad. So-called journalists make up all the facts. PATHETIC. Only I can do that. LOSERS."
~President Trump (note: this is a fake tweet, or IS it?)
While the Pundits might be fake, the issues are utterly real and provided by the audience. Gun control? Sure. Immigration? Why not. The ethics of pet squirrel fashion shows? Um, ok. The anchors, reporters and commentators at FNN are chomping at the bit to give you all the fake news you deserve. The FNN production staff is going rogue, unscripted and improvised. It's all fabricated on the spot, and in front of your lying eyes.

Thru Sept 29 | 8:00 pm | The Bovine Metropolis Theater
Now in its 17th year playing in Denver, "On The Spot" is the fastest and funniest hour on earth! You will laugh so hard that time and space bend!

"On The Spot" remains a local favorite, using the audience's unique suggestions to improvise scenes, games, and songs to make newcomers or regulars laugh themselves silly!
See as many as 20 improv games performed in one show."On The Spot" is perfect for company parties, birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and any event where people want to laugh.

Thru Sept 30 | 8:00 pm | The Bovine Metropolis Theater

Rowling and is the only Harry Potter themed improv show in Denver. Imagine a love letter in the form of spoof, and that's what witches, wizards and muggles will be enjoying Friday Nights at 8:00 p.m. at the Bovine Metropolis Theater.
And just like a Bag of Bertie Bott's every flavored beans, "Anything can happen," says Gryffindor and Dramaturg, Kent Welborn. "In improv anything can happen, and then in the magical world of Harry Potter anything can happen double."
All the things you love about the Harry Potter universe will be displayed on stage: charms, Hogwarts houses, transfiguration, and magical creatures. Returning to Hogwarts has never been this funny. "Heirs of Hogwarts: An Improvised Adventure" is a loving fan-fiction parody of an entire year at Hogwarts.

Russell Malone's first guitar was a plastic green toy his mother bought him. Only four years old, Malone strummed the little guitar all day long for days on end trying to emulate the sounds he had heard from guitarists at church in Albany, Georgia. As a child, Malone developed an interest in blues and country music after seeing musicians on television like Chet Atkins, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Roy Clark, Son Seals, and B.B. King. Then, at age 12, he saw George Benson perform with Benny Goodman on Soundstage. Malone has said, "I knew right then and there that I wanted to play this music." A self-taught player, Malone progressed well enough to land a gig with master organist Jimmy Smith when he was 25. "It made me realize that I wasn't as good as I thought I was," Malone recalls of his first on-stage jam with Smith. After two years with Smith, he went on to join Harry Connick Jr.'s orchestra, a position he held from 1990-94, appearing on three of Connick''s recordings. Malone also worked in a variety of contexts, performing with artists as diverse as Clarence Carter, Little Anthony, Peabo Bryson, Mulgrew Miller, Kenny Barron, Roy Hargrove, Branford and Wynton Marsalis, The Winans, Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, Bucky Pizzarelli, and Jack McDuff.
Malone is one of the most commanding and versatile guitarists performing. He can move from blues to gospel to pop to R&B and jazz without hesitation, a rare facility that has prompted some of the highest profile artists in the world to call upon him: Diana Krall, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Natalie Cole, David Sanborn, Shirley Horn, Christina Aguilera, Harry Connick, Jr, Ron Carter, and Sonny Rollins.
