Enjoy a great evening of music and desserts, while supporting the Triangle Club by attending a "Peace on Earth" Holiday Concert being held on Sunday, December 4th at 6 p.m. at the Dover Elks Lodge, 282 Durham Road, Dover. The holiday concert, which will feature an evening of choral, small group, solo and instrumental Christmas music, is being presented by the accomplished musicians of St. John's Methodist Church. A freewill offering will benefit the work of the Triangle Club to combat the drug and alcohol addiction crisis in our area. Computer Classes at Dover Adult Learning Center
Try a computer class at Dover Adult Learning Center! In Excel Basic 1A, learn ribbon commands and keyboard shortcuts, simple formatting, navigating and formulas. Option of two different dates: Friday, December 2, 1-4pm or Wednesday, December 7, 3-6pm. The companion class is Excel Basics 1B, which teaches how to manage multiple worksheets, create headers and footers, and print reports. Choose either Friday, December 9, 1-4pm or Wednesday, December 14, 3-6pm. In Microsoft Windows on Friday, December 16, 1-4pm, learn to create, arrange and find files and folders, as well as utilize the free tools that come with the Windows Operating System. And finally, QuickBooks Basics for Beginners will show how to set up QuickBooks from the beginning; topics include creating and entering invoices, printing checks, creating reports, plus basic bookkeeping skills. QuickBooks classes are available Thursdays or Saturdays each month, in two 2-hour sessions (please call the Dover Adult Learning Center office at 603-742-1030 for available dates & times).
