"Being missional together has many amazing and important outcomes for a small group:
  • It bonds a small group as nothing else will. Anytime a small group works together, laughs together, and experiences accomplishment together, a bonding takes place that is very special. And when a group is working together, laughing together, and experiencing this in the midst of meeting someone else's need, the bonding is exponentially magnified.
  • It aids a group in seeing the neighborhood and community through watchful eyes. As a small group begins to realize the importance of and opportunity in doing good works, they will begin to be more attentive. They'll notice a broken window in a single mom's home, a widow's lawn that has gone unmowed, a household that seems to be struggling to make ends meet, and more.
  • It helps group members realize and exercise their spiritual gifts and abilities.

A missional small group is a humble and powerful force, a [piece] of small-group life that transforms not only those who are on the receiving end of the group but also the giving end."
