NOTES FROM KRISTEN!

Hi Company Families! 

What an AMAZING weekend at the Homecoming parade and then the TOP dance directive! I am so proud of all of you for the dedication and excitement you have for dance! 

Don't forget that the Kari Herman Master Classes are coming up NEXT weekend, the 28th. Please sign up as soon as possible to save your spot for this incredible opportunity to learn from a fabulous instructor! 

Important note! The studio is going to start sending out invitations for the Master Class to UCM students and the community in the next few days and today is your last chance to guarantee there will be space available! Don't wait to sign up!

Here are a few quick notes but BE SURE TO READ THE BLOCKS BELOW to stay up-to-date on all of our Company Information!  (The schedule of dates is also below!)
  • Kari Herman Master Classes: October 28th! Details below. Sign up now!
  • Awards from Nationals are available to be picked up at the front desk!
  • Reminder! Students must wear their company uniform to Sunday rehearsals as well as weekday classes!  
  • Group rehearsals resume this Sunday! See schedule below! 
  • The make up day for Company Head Shots has been cancelled due to Miss Kristina (our fabulous front desk staff and photographer) having her baby yesterday! We will keep you posted on a future make up day!
  • Save the Date! Our Company Intensives with Don Mirault will be December 15-17 and are required for everyone except Pre-Company! 
  • Our Pizza fundraiser continues! Pizza order forms are available at the front desk! Remember, money is due when orders are placed! All order forms need to be turned in by October 28th!
  • Company Scavenger Hunt! October 28th! See all of the exciting details below!
  • If your dancer plans to compete a solo/duet/trio this year we must have a contract signed for the solo/duet/trio! We will be unable to assign a teacher to your dancer/start the routine until we receive your paperwork.

Kari will be holding Master Classes for ALL AGES and will be doing Choreography for our Pre-Pro Dancers!* Be sure to SAVE THE DATE for this incredible opportunity and SIGN UP ASAP via the google form below to save your spot! 

Master Classes are OPEN TO EVERYONE, AGES 7 & Up in the studio and entire community! Dancers of all skill levels are welcome!

Two Lyrical/ Contemporary Master Classes: October 28th
Junior Lyrical/ Contemporary (for ages 7-11): 8:00-9:30am
Senior Lyrical/ Contemporary (for ages 12 & Up): 9:30-11:00am

COMMERCIAL ACTING WORKSHOP!
Commercial Acting Workshop
Lights, Camera, Take Action NOW!
Don't miss this incredible opportunity to learn how to act in front of a camera for commercials- right here in Warrensburg!

Wednesday, October 25, 1-3pm, 6th Grade & Up

This 2-hour workshop includes:
-learning commercial acting technique
-learning how to act in front of a green screen
-learning how to act in front of a camera
-going over scripts for real commercials
 
The workshop will conclude by putting everything covered into action-   each student  will be filmed in their own commercial in front of a  green screen!
 
With a cost of only $20 and no registration fee, this is the perfect opportunity for friends to spend an amazing afternoon together building confidence & learning new skills! 

(Note: You can ride the school bus directly to Center Stage from the Warrensburg Middle School & High School!  Pre-registration for workshops is required!)

Center Stage Company has their own Smartphone App to keep you informed!   To get the full features of the CS Team App you need to: 

First: Download Team App onto your smartphone.

Second: Launch Team App.

Then follow these steps:

1. Sign-up to Team App.
 You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.

2. Log in. Then search for Center Stage Company and request access to the group(s) that apply to you.

For example, everyone should request access to join the 2017/18 All Company group and then all of the group classes/ routines that you/ your dancer are in! 

3.  Enable Push Notifications on your phone! (Go to settings to enable them.)

We will use this App to send push notifications to your phone to give everyone immediate need-to-know information- especially during the competition season! 

If you don't have a smartphone, reply to this email so you can be added manually and you'll receive email notifications instead of push notifications to your phone.
