Thank you, Maria! ACPA President and Others Recognized at Annual President's Dinner
ACPA held its annual President's Dinner on June 3rd at the Walnut Grill in Fox Chapel to look back and recognize the hard work of ACPA President, Maria Osborne. In addition to leading the association over the past year, Maria was instrumental in establishing an online cloud storage method for association documents and communications to be housed. This will allow information to be stored in a centralized area to be shared with new, incoming Board Members for years to follow. Also receiving special recognition was Stanton Jonas for his many years of service as an active member of ACPA and Pharmacist Representative for the University of Pittsburgh. Stanton has been a strong advocate for poison prevention over the years by working with the schools of pharmacy to distribute kits during Poison Prevention Week as well as distribute carbon monoxide detectors with local Fire/EMS services. ACPA also awarded its two scholarships to a student from each of our schools of pharmacy in the county. Marissa Badzik, PharmD Candidate from the University of Pittsburgh, and Alvina Tran, PharmD Candidate from Duquesne University each received a $500 scholarship. ACPA would like to thank our Past President, Maria Osborne, and also wish good luck to our new President, Brandon Antinopoulos, and fellow Board Members in the upcoming year.
