Kombolcha Update
pen writing letter
Dear Sponsors,
We would like to send special Christmas blessings to the children at our CarePoints. Our CarePoint leaders are willing to translate 260 Christmas letters over the next month and give them to the children in January when they celebrate Orthodox Christmas. With the Ethiopian State of Emergency still in effect, we would like to remind the children that we have our hope in Jesus. The letter does not have to be long, here are a few ideas:
  •  a note of encouragement,
  •  a favorite bible verse
  •  a reminder that you are thinking and praying for them.
  •  What Christmas means to you
  •  A holiday tradition you have with your family or friends
Please send the letter by December 3 , via e-mail here. If you need your sponsor child's ID number it can be found on your sponsor card or e-mail Candy. Thank you!
Merry Christmas HillSong - from Pastor Rob
TennantFamily pic
HillSong Church, I am very thankful that I get to be your pastor. That God would call me to this place is a tremendous blessing. I could cite all the international, state-wide, and local missions you support. I could point to your consistent, enthusiastic appreciation of children's and youth ministry. I could celebrate the fact that our "seniors" (those folks 60-80 years of age) are ministry leaders in every area of church life. All of these are things to be celebrated.
However, beyond these things, what humbles me and makes me truly grateful are the relationships. When I think about times with individuals in our church family, I thank God that I get to be part of it. Some are good times - parties, graduations, weddings, or just a group going out to dinner, or to a movie, or to a Bulls game. Some are trying times - long conversations

Bring in the Tithe Update
Thank you for your participation.
On November 20th, HillSong received $6,619 for Bring in the Tithe.
The grand total General Fund amount received for Nov 20th was $10,101.10.

As evidenced by the Bring in the Tithe Sunday receipts, HillSong Church does not have a giving problem.  On a per capita basis, the steadfast support given is solid, strong and broadly shared.  Neither does HillSong Church have a spending problem.  Each expense is documented and reviewed as it is disbursed and monitored in monthly statements reviewed by the Deacons.
