Volunteering in a committee will help expand your network, perfect and hone in on certain skills, and you just may learn something new! In addition, p articipating in committees has the potential to turn into leadership roles within the PHRA, such as Committee Chair positions and seats on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee!

Interviewers Wanted for Mock Interviews
Junior Achievement is hosting a Mock Interview Session here at Avonworth High School on Wednesday, October 25th from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

This is a valuable experience (for Juniors and Seniors) that cannot be created in a classroom.  Outside perspectives, personalities and professional experience are what make this event so special.  You do not need to have experience in HR, just be willing to ask students a few scripted questions as well as share your own tips and advice along the way.

Generally, the session breaks down like this:

8:30-8:50:  Professional introductions & discussion of goals/focus; guests receive names of students & interview space
9-10:00:  Interviews with three students (15 min. interview with feedback)
10:00-10:30:  Break & Interviewer Panel
10:30-11:15:  Interviews with two additional students (more time for feedback)
11:15-12:00:  Reflection & Connections over lunch (provided)

If you have interest in participating, please email Dennis Gilfoyle at [email protected]
