Dear St. John Paul II Families,
Thursday, we will welcome prospective families to campus for a Fall Open House focusing on grades PK-2. Please pray for those families as we share with them our outstanding school.
This week is a special week as we lead into St. John Paul II’s feast day on October 22nd. In honor of our feast day, we will once again celebrate Vocations Day on Friday! This is a day dedicated to promote religious vocations and allows our students to ask questions and pray for those who have dedicated their lives to serve the Lord. Friday is jam packed with many visitors on campus sharing their love of the Lord with our students and then to complete our day, we will end with a Pep Rally to kick off our 30th year! We are excited to celebrate this week with our Saint family as the cheerleaders lead us and our choirs sing our school song.
I would like to leave you with one special quote by St. John Paul II as we celebrate our patron’s feast day….“Remember that you are never alone, Christ is with you on your journey every day of your lives.Turn to Him in prayer and in love.”
In Him we trust,

The format will be similar to previous years, featuring performances by elementary students, our middle school chorale and the 7th/8th grade band.

Please remember that Grandparents Day is a day for grandparents and special friends only - rest assured that every year we have children who do not have a grandparent or special friend attend, and they enjoy the day and do just fine! Middle School Athletics
The Saints football season has been an extraordinary journey of 16 players giving their heart and soul to their team! The Saints ended their season with a 3-2 district record, tied for 2nd place. They were left out of the championship due to a tie breaker. As unfortunate as this is, we are so proud of the efforts of the boys all season that led to a winning record. Our season also includes big wins over the Saints of St. Laurence and the Indians of St. Cecilia! Way to go Saints.
Cross Country participated in the AOS Dolphin Dash last Wednesday and the Varsity boys took 9
th
place while the JV boys took 12
th
. Our Varsity girls placed 7
th
overall and the JV girls took 5
th
.
On October 14, the Cross Country team competed in the St. John's Maverick Ramble Cross Country Meet where a total of 15 runners posted new season or personal records!
The depleted Varsity boys finished in 11th place. JV boys finished in 10th place. Our Varsity girls finished in 9th place, and JV girls finished in 6th place. Emily Unger placed in the top 15 and won a medal!
Last week was a very busy week for our Lady Saints Volleyball teams! Hosting St. Laurence on Tuesday, our Saints swept games in 6
th
grade, JV and Varsity. Then our next home game was vs. St. Thomas More on Wednesday, and the Saints came up short in 6
th
grade but the JV and Varsity teams won. Onto our 3
rd
home game vs. St. Anne’s Houston on Thursday, the JV team fell but the Varsity won. Our Lady Saints participated in the Dig Pink event at St. Vincent de Paul on Friday and although 6
th
grade and Varsity both fought hard, it wasn’t enough to take the win, but our JV team came up huge and walked away with a win! Next, the JV team participated at the St. Ambrose JV Volleyball Tournament. The JV team won their first 2 games against St. Laurence and St. Rose. They lost the game before the championship game against St. Jerome. We are so very proud of our Volleyball teams in their perseverance throughout a tough week!
Our JV and Varsity soccer teams continue their winning streak with both teams defeating St Vincent de Paul, St. Anne Houston and St Thomas More! Varsity stands at 7-1 in their district record while JV increases their wins to 9-0.
This week is the last week of District play for the Soccer & Volleyball teams. Both the Varsity Soccer and Volleyball squads are looking at heading in to the GHCAA Playoff’s as the #1 seed! Please watch the Athletic calendar for updates as to their playoff game schedule. Cross Country will compete in the GHCAA Championship Meet at St. Agnes Athletic Complex this Thursday October 19! More info will be on the calendar as well!
