in courage is hosting a Domestic Violence Awareness Month Vigil on Thursday, October 19, 6:00 - 7:00pm at Manitowoc City Hall, 900 Quay St. This vigil will feature speakers Sara Krall from End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin; Dave Funkhouser, Kiel Police Chief; and Roncalli High School singers in honoring victims. There will also be a personal testimony from an abuse victim. Open to the public. Domestic Violence Awareness Month marks its 30th anniversary. The Salvation Army of Manitowoc County : We have registered 1,466 kids in need of coats for this year!! Last year we distributed over 1,000 coats during our Coats for Kids event. This is a huge increase and one we are struggling to fill. We are in need of coats of all sizes, but especially adult sizes for teens and boy sizes 6 through 14.
