Together we can protect the natural environment,
safety and accessibility of Avila.
Avila's historic railroad
Please Come and Support our Group!

Concerned Citizens for Avila is holding its first fundraising event on Thursday, September 7, 2017, 6 pm, at the Indian Hill Clubhouse in San Luis Bay Estates, and we'd love to see you there! We hope to raise money to cover our operating costs which include our n ewsletter, WebBuilder software, domain names, and post office box.  These investments allow us to effectively communicate important information and meet our goal to promote responsible planning and public awareness on current issues and concerns such as traffic, parking, large development, and over-saturation of events.

The fundraiser features a presentation by Andrew Merriam about Avila's railroad history. We hope you will join us for this fascinating look at historic Avila with refreshments and socializing after the talk.

Thank you for your support. The donations we receive are a community investment. We look forward to seeing you!

Together we can make a difference.

Concerned Citizens Address the Significant Impacts of Avila Events
An effort is underway to bring to the attention of the County Board of Supervisors the ever-growing problems of un-permitted events in Avila.  Now, with the help of Concerned Citizens, several people are attending every County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday mornings and reminding Supervisors that:
  • the number of events have been multiplying each year
  • the impacts on traffic, parking and safety are growing as well
  • and the events are still not permitted!
Please contact us about addressing the Board of Supervisors.   We'll provide you with talking points, instructions and a buddy to go with you.
