letter from the principal
Greetings, all!  As we move into the fall, we have our annual Homecoming Dance this weekend. The dance will be in the gym from 8-11 pm. All students are welcome, and they do not have to have a date; many students come in  big groups to dance and socialize.

Sometimes, though, we have issues with students being under the influence of alcohol. Please monitor your child's group and their ride to the dance. Many students take large party buses or limos. Although the drivers are not supposed to allow alcohol on board, some do, and as we know, students can be ingenious at hiding it. Please be vigilant and speak with your kids about your expectations for their behavior. In the same vein, we've seen a spate of incidences of students vaping or using e-cigarettes. These activities are prohibited on school grounds. Some devices are made to resemble common, everyday items, so  be aware and talk with your child about their use.

We want everyone to have a  fun and safe evening this Homecoming weekend, and w e look forward to hosting your children this weekend. Come out to the game and watch our students play and perform as we celebrate past and current students of Langley High School. You'll see our Madrigals, the marching band, the dance team, the cheerleaders, and the football team.  It's a great way to spend a Friday night!

~  Fred Amico, LHS Principal
