Help Your Team Succeed: Ensure Meaningful Goals are in Place
Setting meaningful goals helps ensure we are focused on the most important work and getting the support needed to be successful. Goals are also a k ey component in an employee's year-end performance rating. Setting goals results in a clear focus, an effective use of time and clarity in prioritizing tasks. Managers should approve all employees' goals in Infor HR by Oct. 31.

LIFT-eligible employees should have three to five  S.M.A.R.T. goals  and one  LIFT Behavior Goal  approved in Infor HR. Core Competencies Evaluation (CCE)-eligible employees may set S.M.A.R.T. goals outside of Infor HR. New hires should have approved goals in their first 60 days.

Look for a Personal Information Verification Email on Nov. 1
On Nov. 1, Human Resources will send all employees an email that contains demographic information that DPS has on file for each individual, including address, email, phone number, emergency contact, race and ethnicity, and information on whether they have elected electronic delivery of their W2 and 1095-C tax forms.

Please inform your team that this email is a legitimate request from HR and not spam or a phishing attempt. Please encourage your team to review their personal demographic information and make updates if needed. The email will provide instructions on how to make those updates.  Having up-to-date information allows DPS to communicate with team members and to generate reports required by federal law.
Supports for Building Your Team
Managers Can Initiate or Complete Employee Leave of Absence in Infor HR
Avoid having your team members overpaid or underpaid because the district is unaware when they go on leave or when they have returned to work. As a DPS manager, you can place an employee on leave or indicate that they have returned to work in Infor HR. Click here for instructions on how to request a leave for your employee or here for instructions on how to indicate that an employee has returned to work. Review Social Media Guidelines with Your Team Members
If you have social media accounts, or your team or department manages social media accounts, you should know our district's social media policies. They are based on federal and state laws regarding personal and professional accounts and how to use social media safely as an educator. Review these resources and share them with your team members:
Denver Public Schools sends all district newsletters and critical employee communications through Constant Contact.
