Cerused Summits

We told you a bit about cerused tables back in August. Do you remember? If not, here's a recap:

Cerused furniture has a white glaze or grain filler sprayed or wiped into the veneer's pores during the finish process to create a contrasting or limed look.

These particular tables pictured here are our Summit reconfigurable tables. Their tops tilt to fit through doorways to be moved from room to room and they are set on extendable casters to easily reconfigure your conference or board room for different functions.

These 60-inch by 60-inch Summits with trapezoid shaped bases bound for Boston feature rift cut white oak in a book matched pattern and solid white oak edges. Both the oak veneer and solid wood are finished with a dark stain and rubbed on (then vigorously wiped off) white glaze before eventually being top-coated.

At right, we have provided closer up images of these tables to better showcase the cerusing. Do you see the white in the grain?

Also pictured below is another view of the Summit in the tilted position.
