It's coming - as it often does this time of year.

The Holidays - it can be ... well ... a lot. You want to find joy in your heart and peace on earth. But for most, it can be hard to make it the most wonderful time of the year when it is also the most hectic time of the year.

Fear Not! There are some new red letter days on the calendar to give you hope in these colder and darker days.

Black Friday (Nov. 25) has been reclaimed by the outdoor retailer REI as a day to  "Opt Outside" . You can find great places to get your family out and about in Montgomery's Parks.

Small Business Saturday  (Nov. 26) is a day to skip the mall and shop small - keeping your purchase power local to enrich your community. Don't forget the world's oldest small business - your local farmer.

Giving Tuesday  is November 29th this year - a day to dedicate your support to the organizations you care about. May we humbly suggest you give where you live and support not just your local farms but your local farm protection nonprofit? MCA's work to keep the Ag Reserve growing in Montgomery County relies on local residents, like you.

With Thanks,
Caroline Taylor, Executive Director
