For the  parents and families of St. Therese Chinese Catholic School

Dear Parents,

October is such an awesome month. The little ones are off on their field trips to the farms, Holy Fire is on the horizon and the after school clubs are in full swing.

As you may have heard, I was indeed blessed over the weekend. I had the honor of being recognized by NAESP for my work here at St. Therese in Washington D.C. This moment allowed me to reflect on how much I have grown as an educator over the years and how much I am truly grateful to be with such a beautiful parish-school community. There was a very clear (and humbling) revelation to me during my stay - St. Therese's reputation is known to many organizations and people at the national level!

Midterms will be going home October 23rd. Remember, midterm grades are mid-points of the semester and are not final. Please check PowerSchool regularly and have frequent conversations with your child regarding their work. If you see that there is still room for improvement, check in with the following: Are they completing all of their assignments? Are they asking questions of the teacher when they need clarity? Are they reviewing for assessments in a timely manner? As always, we are your partners in your child's education.  Please do not hesitate in reaching out to your child's teacher if you need more insight.

Details for each of the classroom Halloween parties will be forwarded from classroom teachers shortly. Also remember that picture retakes will be this Thursday.

Blessings,
Ms. Cavallone
Principal

PS - As always, please refer to our School Calendar for important dates and reminders. Also note that the Extra-Curricular Calendar contains detailed days and times for our many after-school activities.
