Stay up to date!
From Sunday:

Right before our reading today in Matthew, Jesus was teaching in the temple following his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The chief priests and elders were so irritated by his popularity with the people that they interrupted his teaching and demanded that he give one good reason why he has the right to open his mouth on their turf (Matthew 21:23).
In response, Jesus tells the Jewish leaders, "the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who are living a Kingdom life." Matthew 21:44 The Message.  What follows that, is a series of parables including our reading today.  Now you know why most Scholars believe this parable is directed at the Jewish leaders.

CARITAS prepares to serve families during the colder months.
Donate new or gently used Blankets, Pillows and Sheet Sets.
There is a box in the hall of the Educational Building to accept donations through December 10th.  Contact Steve Harrison for more information.

Teachers and Members :  It is time to mail our old Sunday School materials to Edwin L. Hodges Ministries in Alabama.  They in turn ship them to third world countries and use them for teaching and training pastors and lay people. They ask for Christian materials, books, DVD's CD's, as long as they are in good condition.  They especially need bibles.  Please bring all materials to the Loving Building (room with the piano) by 12-1-17.  If you have any questions please contact Betty Sue Martin.

The "Knitters" have been hard at work knitting hats for our Hanover Christmas Moth er. The hats along with pairs of gloves will be shared with those in need this  winter. Glove donations may be placed in the boxes in the Loving and Education Buildings until October 30th. We need lots of gloves!  If you have any questions, please contact Betty Sue Martin on 804-798-4553.
