 "Operation Help The Homeless," a drive by members of St. Eleanor's Roman Catholic Church, 627 Locust St., to collect travel-sized toiletries, coffee, and sugar, from Collegeville area residents to distribute among local homeless individuals, begins today (Monday, Oct. 16, 2017) and continues through Sunday (Oct. 22). Donations will be delivered by parish volunteers to the Norristown Hospitality Center, which provides basic needs and social services to more than 1,000 people.

Donations can be dropped off to the parish office at St. Eleanor's. For a list of other needed items that are needed, look here. Those interested in making bulk donations are asked to call the office at 610-489-1647, Ext. 15.

Murder Mystery Dinner given by the Lower Providence Community Library's fall fundraising event on Friday, October 27th at Chadwicks Restuarant and Bar.  The evening begins with hors d'oeuveres and a cash bar at 6:45pm followed by dinner and a "Dance with Death," presented by the Murder Mystery Company.  When a death on the dance floor turns this 1950s prom into a doo wop disaster, it is up to the audience to figure out whodunit and get this dance back on track.
