Meet Michael McHugh...volunteer, football fan, and world traveler. Michael arrived at the Adaptive Sports Foundation at the ripe old age of five years old as a student. He has grown up skiing at the ASF and has now become a volunteer.
Over 280 volunteers represent the backbone of the ASF's winter program.
These
amazingindividuals perform a variety of duties for us including, but definitely not limited to ski, and snowboard instruction, lunch service, equipment maintenance, shuttle service and much more! Many of our volunteers have been with us each winter for over two and three decades. Three families have three generations among the volunteer ranks.
The ASF's Warriors in MotionĀ® program provides wounded warriors with a basic knowledge of wellness and the importance of practicing lifelong healthful living. Warriors engage in sports, outdoor activity, and recreation. On January 5th-8th, the ASF will welcome 15 wounded U.S. veterans and their families for the annual Learn to Ski and Snowboard event.
