Friends in the Courtyard Wrap Up

Parents, alumni, past parents, faculty and staff, and friends gathered on Wednesday, September 28 in the gymnasium at St. Francis DeSales High School for the "Friends in the Courtyard" Wine Tasting and Auction.  The gymnasium was transformed into a beautiful, rustic outdoor vineyard winery; a big thank you to Ciminellos Inc. Landscaping and Garden Center and Westcamp Printing for helping with this transformation!  The community came together to sample the finest wines from around the world plus a variety of beers from local breweries.  Guests also enjoyed fabulous hors d'oeuvres from Carfagna's and were able to bid on 200 silent and live auction items.  New to the event was the selling of the wine that was being tasted at the event; 376 bottles of wine were sold. The event raised over $44,000 (net).  Proceeds from "Friends in the Courtyard" provide financial support to our co-curricular programs including athletics, band, drama, and over 30 scholastic and interest-based clubs.  Click on the following link to see the co-curricular grant distribution: 2016 Co-Curricular Grant Proceeds.

We are grateful for the help of our dedicated volunteers, donors, and sponsors for making "Friends in the Courtyard" Wine Tasting and Auction a successful and fantastic event. A special thank you to our event chairs; Sam and Jeannene Carfagna, Nicole Clayton, Mike Murray, Karen Stone, and Michelle DiMaccio plus all the other committee volunteers.  They all worked many long hours in the organization of the event.
