Why does Mt. Bethel need a foundation? The overall goal is to provide educational enrichment above and beyond what would otherwise be available to our teachers as well as our students. One facet of this educational enrichment is providing leading-edge professional development. Your Foundation spent
$130,000 last year on teacher training and grants to ensure that our students are being taught using the most up-to-date methods available. This training has provided so many benefits to our school including improved standardized test scores as well as reduced class sizes in two grade levels! The unfortunate reality is that none of this would be possible with the $3,500 total school training budget the county provides.

Learn How to Support Your Children in Writing with our Foundation Funded Literacy Consultant, Jill Hawes
Focus: In this workshop, you will learn about Writing Workshop and how this environment develops your children as writers. You will see the stages of writing and acquire tips on how you can help at home.

Join us on Saturday, November 4th, 2017
for the 31st Annual Mt. Bethel Fun Run & Fair. Registration is open via
ToolKit through Sunday, October 29th.
Students, family and friends are welcome. You can register everyone
online. After that, day of registration is available. Race Registration is $25. This includes your race bib, and commemorative t-shirt.
5K begins at 8:00 AM
1 Mile begins at 9:00 AM
½ Mile Kindergarten Trot begins at 9:30 AM
