April has been a very busy month for us in Uganda. Although most of our board members have visited at different times, five of them and Cindy spent time encouraging and ministering together alongside Katherine, Melanie and our national staff. It was a wonderful time of renewing the vision for ministry to a beautiful community that God gave to Katherine so many years ago. 
To the right is Ed visiting with Bumba's mom who's modest home he helped build 15 years ago while volunteering with HUM. Bumba is now completing his master's degree in Environmental Science and has been working for HUM. He recently began a new position with Orphan's
Heart coordinating their work with the ministries they support in East Africa. This all allows him to care for his mother as well as some of his nephews and nieces.
There were many meetings as well, but pictures are probably    
not necessary.  All were blessed and encouraged to see 
firsthand what God is doing through HUM each and every day 
and we thank all of you for being such a big part of it.  We couldn't do it without you.  Ultimately, we give God all the glory.   

Thank you to those who picked up new sponsored children as we requested in the March newsletter. There are plenty more with need. Please also consider a gift for our Genesis science and other school supplies as well as library book needs as we  
shared with you in a recent letter. We appreciate your help as we seek to raise overcomers and Godly leaders.

Providing Life
 Sustaining Food During a Season of Drought

Drought has stolen one growing season, making it very difficult for the many in our  community that live off of 
their gardens to survive. With our  partners from Orphan's 
Heart we are providing staples like flour, beans and rice to 
the poorest in our community.   See mothers and
widows as they carry heavy bags of food home to their families.  Please pray for the 
rains to come this season.
