2017 College Football Hall of Fame electee Marshall Faulk (San Diego State) was honored Oct. 14 with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the Aztecs' game against Boise State. In addition to the Salute, Faulk was San Diego State's Honor Warrior and took part in pregame events and the coin toss.
A three-time First Team All-American, Marshall Faulk was just the fifth player in NCAA history to record back-to-back rushing titles. Click here to read more about Faulk.
During the NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salutes, each inductee returns to his alma mater or school where they coached to accept a Hall of Fame plaque that will remain on permanent display at the institution. Faulk will officially be inducted during the 60th NFF Annual Awards Dinner at the New York Hilton Midtown on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The event will be streamed live on ESPN3.

2017 College Football Hall of Fame electee Adrian Peterson (Georgia Southern) was honored Oct. 14 with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the Eagles' game against New Mexico State.
A four-time First Team All-American, Peterson remains the all-time leading rusher in Division I (FBS and FCS) history with 6,559 yards and led the Eagles to back-to-back FCS national titles in 1999 and 2000. Click here to read more about Peterson.

The Rose Bowl Game® presented by Northwestern Mutual, in conjunction with the National Football Foundation, will honor coaches with its "Coaches Making a Difference" contest. Now through December 4, individuals can nominate a high school coach that has made a difference in the lives of student-athletes in their community. The grand prize winner will receive a trip to the "Granddaddy of Them All," the Rose Bowl Game, on January 1, 2018. This year's game will play host to a College Football Playoff Semifinal and feature two of the top teams in college football.

. A panel of representatives from the Tournament of Roses and the National Football Foundation will select the six winners which will include one grand prize winner and five finalist winners.
Six finalists and a grand prize winner will be announced at 12 p.m. PT on December 8.

2017 Campbell Trophy Summit Perspectives

The National Football Foundation staged the Inaugural Campbell Trophy Summit in late August, which involved 85 past NFF Campbell Trophy
®
nominees traveling to Stanford University for a series of seminars. The event, sponsored by Intuit in honor of Bill Campbell, the award's namesake, featured panels with more than 40 top leaders from Silicon Valley companies who were inspired by Bill and wanted to continue his legacy of mentorship. Universally praised as a huge success, the event provided the NFF with a powerful new platform for building relationships and connecting the Campbell Trophy® nominees with some of the nation's top entrepreneurs and Silicon Valley CEOs. Alabama was the unanimous No. 1 selection with all 48 first-place votes in the Week 7 FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll. Georgia, Penn State, TCU and Wisconsin round out the top five in the poll, in which voters rank the top 16 FBS teams.
The results of the poll will be released every Sunday of the 2017 season and the individual votes of all members will also be made public. The final poll will be released Dec. 3. The pollsters consist of FWAA writers and College Football Hall of Famers.

Haunted Hall of Fame, Oct. 21-22 and Oct. 28-29:
Guests will delight in the Field of Screams and enjoy a spooky scavenger hunt, complete with candy cauldrons while touring the Hall's haunted hallways. Fans dressed in costumes, ages 12 and under, will receive free admission into the Hall, and each fan will receive a two-sided card

AFCA has named NFF Board Member Jack Lengyel as the 2018 recipient of its highest honor, the Tuss McLaughry Award, which will be presented Jan. 9 at the 2018 AFCA Convention in Charlotte, N.C. Lengyel, a former head coach at Marshall and an athletics director at Fresno State, Missouri and Navy, has also claimed many awards during his impressive career, including the 1997 NFF Outstanding Contributions to Amateur Football Award and the 2005 NFF John L. Toner Award for excellence in athletics administration.
A pair of NFF Board Members - College Football Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott (Southern California) and Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott - are part of the new Anti-Defamation League Sports Leadership Council that will work with professional athletes and sports leaders to promote positive social change and combat hate, bullying, and discrimination in our society.
2017 College Football Hall of Fame electee and 1997 Campbell Trophy® winner Peyton Manning (Tennessee) will be inducted into the State of Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in April 2018.
College Football Hall of Fame coach Gene Stallings (Texas A&M, Alabama), Hall of Famer and 1996 Campbell Trophy® winner Danny Wuerffel (Florida), Hall of Famer and 1970 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Dave Elmendorf (Texas A&M) and 2005 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Brad Smith (Missouri) are part of the 2017 SEC Football Legends Class. The class will be honored at the 2017 SEC Football "Weekend of Champions" Dec. 1-2 in Atlanta.

with former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops. Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson will be the speaker on Oct. 23.
The NFF Arkansas Chapter/Little Rock Touchdown Club will host its Southwest Conference Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon Oct. 30 at the Embassy Suites Little Rock. Members of the induction class include two late College Football Hall of Famers from Arkansas: Ronnie Caveness and Wear Schoonover. Other former Razorback football players to be inducted are Jim Benton, Joe Ferguson, Steve Little, Fred Marshall, Billy Ray Smith Sr. and Dennis Winston.
The Touchdown Club of Atlanta-NFF Chapter hosted a luncheon featuring Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl President & CEO Gary Stokan today at 103 West.
The NFF Tom Lombardo/St. Louis Chapter will host its monthly luncheon Oct. 18 at Lombardo's Airport Restaurant. Former California football player and St. Louis Cardinals (football) head coach Jim Hanifan will be the guest speaker.

Compiled weekly during the season, the FPCI is a proprietary analytical look at the current state of the chase for college football's national championship. The FPCI aims to rate college football teams by their real-time percent chance to make the national championship game -- a dynamic metric that no other poll or ranking system measures.
The FPCI also includes the cost of a Fan Plan for each team. A Fan Plan is a one-of-a-kind indemnity product fans can purchase for their favorite team. If that team goes to the national championship game, Fan Plan pays for the fan's game tickets and travel costs, up to the total coverage value of the Fan Plan. Each Fan Plan has a $1,000 coverage value and fans can buy additional coverage in $1,000 increments, up to $10,000 in total coverage. Fan Plan costs are dynamic and change based on each team's real-time odds of making the championship game.
