The next phase of WIOA implementation encompasses technical requirements as well as strategic considerations; however, workforce development boards are still required to: 1) address the needs of industry via sector strategies, 2) build a work-ready, skilled labor force, and 3) define strategies around legislative, community, and business challenges.
All of this must be done within the context of dynamic labor markets while engaging in local and regional planning that ultimately increases the impact of investments in training, education, and business success. More than ever, we need input from partners in education, economic development, labor, community organizations, and business associations so we can meet these challenges together.
The Forum is packed with opportunities to engage with other professionals who care about jobs, business, and a healthy economy. It attracts nearly 1500 attendees for up to four days of thought-provoking keynotes, large-scale issue and impact sessions, interactive workshops, and networking, making it a can't miss event. If you have not already registered, please do so now and join us March 25-28, 2017.
