State of St. Petersburg Economy Presentation Dec. 5th soe

The 2nd Annual State of the St. Petersburg Economy Presentation will take place on Monday, December 5th at 3:00 pm in the USFSP Student Center Ballroom. Come learn about the most current demographics, development updates, and key initiatives taking place in the city. A networking social sponsored by Duke Energy will follow the presentation. Seating is limited so please RSVP to business@stpete.org for complimentary parking.
Warehouse Arts District and Deuces Live Joint Action Plan Kick-Off starts tomorrow! wad


The project kick-off for the Warehouse Arts District and Deuces Live Joint Action Plan is November 30th and December 1st, and will happen at two distinct areas within the study area. At each event, attendees will have the opportunity to share their input and ideas for the project.

First, there is a kick-off meeting tomorrow evening, November 30th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Morean Center for Clay, 420 22nd Street S. Please join the team and your neighbors for an overview of the project and be ready to share your ideas.  On Thursday, December 1st, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, there will be a trolley tour and walking audit of the diverse and interesting places located in the study area. 360 Advanced relocates to downtown St. Petersburg advanced

Cyber security firm 360 Advanced recently relocated from Tampa to downtown St. Petersburg's Priatek Plaza. The company celebrated their relocation with the City, Chamber of Commerce, and guests on November 10th. 360 Advanced has 20 employees and plans for extensive growth. The company is part of the city's growing Data Analytics target industry sector, one of the fastest growing sectors in the country.
Cross-Bay Ferry service up and running ferry

The Cross-Bay Ferry service connecting downtown St. Petersburg with Tampa has been running for nearly a month now. During the first few weeks of its launch, business and community organizations along with residents were encouraged to "Test the Waters" on a free 60-minute cruise. Regularly scheduled service began Monday, November 28th. To plan your trip, view the schedule here.
EFI offers $6,000 incentive for creating international market websites efi


Through Florida's Online Global Program, Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) offers two ways for businesses to receive $6,000 for building country-specific websites. There are two avenues for participation: (1) Two Market Expansion and (2) Multi-Market Web Presence. Both options engage companies in web development programs to increase their global online presence and boost their export capability. 

Eligible companies must be based in Florida with up to 500 employees engaged in manufacturing or professional services.  F or more information or to contact program administrators, visit Florida's Global Online Program .
Plans submitted for new mixed-use development in Skyway Marina District smd
Phillips Development & Realty submitted plans to the city for a $70 million mixed-use project on a 9-acre site in the Skyway Marina District. The proposed development includes 300 apartments and 22,000 SF of retail, including a restaurant. The property is located on 34th Street S at 30th Ave. Construction is anticipated to begin late spring or early summer of next year.
Bay Pointe Plaza renovations nearly complete bay

Renovations on the Bay Pointe Plaza shopping center located in the Skyway Marina District are almost complete. The updated shopping plaza will see a new Japanese Hibachi & Sushi restaurant soon and a new Pet Supermarket just opened last week. The rebuilt Publix will open December 1st.
