Our Perspective
Spotlight:  SHD offers first-ever jet service

The season of thankfulness is approaching, and we have so many opportunities to appreciate all the good in our personal and business lives. This month, we want to thank the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (SHD) for bringing a new jet service to our area. SHD is partnering with ViaAir to offer new daily nonstop service to Charlotte, North Carolina and one-stop service to Orlando, Florida. Both routes will be operated utilizing a 50-seat Embraer ERJ 145 regional jet. This is the first time the Shenandoah Valley has had a partner airline offering daily commercial flights with a jet aircraft.

Ranked 5th nationwide in operations, the Charlotte hub has approximately 710 daily departures serving 155 nonstop destinations.
What are all the possibilities? Let's ask SHD Executive Director, Greg Campbell.
