The afterlife: what everyone should know
You're going to live forever. The questions are where, and how. With so many views about the afterlife, is there any way to know for sure what lies beyond the grave? The answer is a resounding yes! What Everyone Should Know About the Afterlife is a new resource from the MBC that addresses what the Bible says about this important topic. It is designed for personal or group study.

Who are you to judge?
Jude describes certain false teachers in the first-century church as "merely natural, not having the Spirit" (Jude 19). He seems to be saying that these professing Christians are, in fact, unbelievers. How can he make such a statement. Doesn't Jesus tell us not to judge others?

I, Jesus, have sent My angel
In Rev. 22:16, Jesus plainly identifies Himself, as if to place a final stamp of approval on all that has been revealed. While the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit often are quoted directly in Scripture, the Lord sometimes uses angels as the vehicles through which He communicates divine truth. This is the case here.

"Think as a debater" apologetics workshop
First Baptist Church of Buffalo, Mo., is hosting a workshop Oct. 13-14 to help Christians learn to interact more effectively with people of other faiths, or no faith at all. Led by nationally acclaimed debaters, the workshop features classroom and application modules.

Is the Bible literally true?
Christians are sometimes asked if we believe the Bible is literally true. After all, whether eating Christ's flesh and drinking His blood are plunges into cannibalism, or figurative expressions of full devotion, depend on how we understand the language of Scripture.

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!"
Rev. 22:17 issues a final call to salvation to all who will receive it in faith. The call to come echoes down the chambers of Scripture as a unified pleading of the triune God. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit take the initiative to come to us first, and then bid us to respond in faith to their grace.
