2414 Bulk Pumpkins Are Coming

It's time again to breakout those workout clothes and unload another full truck for our Pumpkin Patch.  We are on pace to break another sales record so we need the pumpkins to do it.  So please come on Wednesday October 18th at 4p to help unload the truck full of pumpkins for us to sell at the patch. Invite your neighbors and friends.
Join Us For Food Trucks And Worship
Saturday October 21st is hosting First Church's Night of Worship.  We are also excited to have 3 Food Trucks and Kona Ice coming from 5p-9p as well.  At the Night of Worship, the Adult Band, Youth Band, Kid's Choir and the Adult Choir will lead for a fun night of worship and excitement from 7 to 8p
News From The Patch.
Things we need reminding in the patch.

1.) No Hanging Out at the patch.  If you are not on shift working, students do not have permission to "hang out" in the patch.  You could be a distraction to the other workers and thus hurt our customer relationship.

2.) When transporting the rotten pumpkins on to the trailer, please move them to the rear of the trailer (the direction closest to the back, where the truck will hitch it up at.)

3.) Please remember if you are finishing the 4-6 shift, you are responsible for turning on the lights.

4.) Remember, we need to greet and help each customer.  If there lots of customers in the patch, both students shouldn't be helping 1 customer.  Divide and conquer.  We can have a better influence on our guests this way.

5.)  We have started getting busier.  Please make the added efforts take pictures of families for them, and pass out stickers to the little kids.

6.) Our next FULL truck comes at 4pm on October 18th. It is a DOUBLE SHIFT!  Bring your friends and family to help.

7.) Patch Workers should be identifying themselves by wearing the pumpkin aprons.  Also when the patch is slow, put on the costume and go out and wave at passing cars.

8.) New Shifts will be added sometime after the Fall Festival.  Be ready to sign up for more shifts if you have the availability.
Parent Connect Night
This Sunday night is Parent Connect.  Parent Connect is a once a month meeting (typically held on the last Sunday of the month but will be on the 22nd because of the Trunk or Treat on the 29th) in which we invite parents to join us for a potluck dinner and a parent's meeting and we discuss upcoming trips and events.

Topics this month will include; Pumpkin Patch Progress, Winter Retreats, November Events, and more.

Please bring a dish to share. The theme this month is "No Theme Halloween" in which parents are challenged to bring a potluck dish of their choice.  Childcare is available for children; 5 months to 5th grade.

Keep the Dates
  • 2nd Pumpkin Patch Delivery Date 10/18
