Did you forget to buy your used kayak &/or paddleboard this fall? We have a couple of used tandem kayaks and stand up paddleboards still available for sale. Click here for our list. If you don't have plans to come to the beach this winter and if you purchase the equipment between today and January 1, 2017, for an additional $50 (normally $150) we can store it for you until spring (certain conditions apply). After the craziness of the Thanksgiving shopping weekend, Giving Tuesday is the perfect way to put it all into perspective. And why write a check to a huge anonymous organization when we have amazing small charities that do so much good in our community? Here are some local charities that we've done fundraisers for as part of our Paddle for a Purpose and Paddle for a Cure events. These are great people doing great things!

MERR (Marine Education, Research, and Rehabilitation Institute) - if a sea animal becomes stranded on one of our local beaches, anytime day or night, MERR provides the rescue and care for it.
  Delaware Wild Lands, Inc. - to date they have protected 30,000 acres of important natural areas in our beautiful First State.
  Tri-State Bird Rescue - if you find an injured bird, Tri-State will figure out a way to get it to their specially trained wildlife rehabilitators as soon as possible.
Delaware Cancer Support Center - helps all people impacted by cancer become empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
Worcester County Humane Society - a no-kill shelter in west Ocean City whose purpose is to find homes and loving families for stray and abandoned animals.
