Chimney Rock
If you have ever headed west from Pagosa Springs on Highway 160 then you surely are familiar with Chimney Rock and the Indian ruins at the Chimney Rock National Monument. I pass by it when I come and go to Pagosa and I caught this lovely image a week or so ago.
Such Joy!





These guys were supposed to
be Thanksgiving dinner.
Thursday I overheard them gobblin:


"It's Thanksgiving and we're still alive! 
Hallelujia!"


Hope your Thanksgiving was just as happy!
Sad News
This newsletter is short and simple this month because at the time of this writing I am headed to Cincinnati. My nephew, Steve Westerkamp, is losing his battle with leukemia and has been given just a few days to live. 

You will notice that the special is the same as last month because I just don't have the time or energy to put together something different. Thanks for understanding.

Some wise words come to mind: "Eat your food as your medicine. Otherwise you will have to eat medicines as your food."

Friends, your prayers for my nephew and his family as we go through this difficult time will be greatly appreciated. The nicest place to be is in someone's thoughts, the safest place to be is in someone's prayers, and the very best place to be is in the hands of God.

Allan and I, along with our daughter Lisa and her family, will be headed to Ventura, California, on Christmas day to visit our granddaughter and watch her play in a three day basketball tournament. While Lisa and all will be flying, Allan and I will be crossing another item off our bucket list by riding an Amtrak train, something we are both very excited about doing.
