2016 Workforce Trends - Local Labour Market Update

The Workforce Planning Board of York Region and Bradford, West Gwillimbury is pleased to provide you with a link to the 2016 Workforce Trends - Local Labour Market Update. 

This year's report is an update of a multi-year plan established in 2014.  It provides an update on labour market issues, the identified priorities and the actions undertaken in partnership or collaboration with other stakeholders in our community.
 
New this year is information on business industries to a 3 digit North American Industry Classification level.
 
York Region continues to be a resilient labour market that attracts over 10,000 new residents every year, offers predominately full-time employment and is home to a highly educated workforce.  Key to its continued success include the attraction of new businesses to the region, the ability  to fill new employment opportunities with residents from the region and the work to lower the high youth unemployment that currently exists in our region.
