Stay up to date!
From Sunday:

We've been talking about stewardship for the last two weeks, and now the stewardship campaign comes to a climax when everyone has an opportunity to make commitments for the coming year. I hope many of you will take out a Covenant Card in the pew pocket or one you have previously received and join me in placing it in the offering today.  Remember our Stewardship & Finance team wants these by no later than next Sunday, November 5th so that they can continue planning our ministries for 2018. The ministry plan will then be presented to the congregation on December  3rd for the congregation's final approval.  This is your opportunity to make a commitment to join God in expressing love for the world and for our neighbors through the ministries of Slash.

En Agape',
Rev. Michael

FALL FESTIVAL 2017

The weather did not slow down the Fall Festival at Slash.  We had a good crowd, hot dogs, chili, s'mores, and great food. Trick or treat was held in the hallway of the Education building and everyone had a blast bobbing for apples, painting mini pumpkins, face painting and winning cakes at the cake walk. Thanks to the Membership Committee and all the volunteers for a fun evening!

Outreach Opportunities

Spread the warmth by joining us to help families sleep tight as
CARITAS prepares to serve families during the colder months.
Donate new or gently used Blankets, Pillows and Sheet Sets.
There is a box in the hall of the Educational Building to accept donations through December 10th.  Contact Steve Harrison for more information.

Teachers and Members :  It is time to mail our old Sunday School materials to Edwin L. Hodges Ministries in Alabama.  They in turn ship them to third world countries and use them for teaching and training pastors and lay people. They ask for Christian materials, books, DVD's CD's, as long as they are in good condition.  They especially need bibles.  Please bring all materials to the Loving Building (room with the piano) by 12-1-17.  If you have any questions please contact Betty Sue Martin.

The "Knitters" have been hard at work knitting hats for our Hanover Christmas Mother.  The hats along with pairs of gloves, will be shared with those in need this winter.  Glove donations may be placed in the boxes in the Loving and Educational buildings until November 12th.  We need lots of gloves!  If you have any questions, please contact Betty Sue on 804-798-4553 or June Chappell on 804-730-1418.  Thanks again!
