THE NEW CHOBE GAME LODGE
WEBSITE GOES LIVE
The new Chobe Game Lodge website is a full-width and responsive website which has been redesigned to take visitors on a journey to discover the essence of a safari with Chobe Game Lodge. The strong visuals in the introduction video highlight the remarkable safari experiences on offer with us while providing a glimpse into the stylish decor, newly refurbished and pioneering ecotourism facilities.

Moving through the website, you will find everything you need to know from room categories to detailed explanations of safari activities as well as additional information on the Chobe National Park. There are pages dedicated to our responsible tourism initiatives including the electric powered safari vehicles & boats which highlights our ongoing commitment to responsible tourism.

Since the launch of the new website, one of the most popular pages on the site is our LIVE WEBCAM which shows off the incredible views and sightings on the eastern floodplain from the renowned Chobe Deck of Fame. Please visit the site and while you are there sign up for our Chobe Game Lodge dedicated newsletter which will be sharing future sightings and news from the lodge.

CAMP MOREMI REBUILD NEWS
Camp Moremi will undergo a complete rebuild, commencing 01 December 2017 and the newly rebuilt Camp Moremi will open 01 May 2018.

Camp Moremi will be rebuilt in its existing site with the dining, lounge and other public areas raised high up in the ebony tree connected by elevated boardwalks. Guests will access the camp on gradual elevated decks leading up to a welcome area and curio shop. The elevated public areas will be beautifully positioned to create more private areas for our guests to relax and enjoy the environment as well as the views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon.

Honoring  the traditional style of the camp, the boardwalk will descend to ground level where pathways will lead to the rooms, fireplace, swimming pool and the famous Xakanaxa Lagoon viewing deck.

The twelve rooms, consisting of eleven standard rooms and one large family room, will be constructed using a combination of traditional canvas tenting and modern natural materials designed to keep the rooms cool, bright and spacious. Each room will be built within the rich riparian forest which will provide cooling shade and a myriad of bird and animal life around the camp.

Image renderings, design layouts and of course new images will be shared as soon as they are released.

While the camp closes for refurbishment, please continue to book Camp Xakanaxa for the Moremi Game Reserve portion of your safari.
As if Xugana Island Lodge could be any more perfect, we are thrilled to announce that we have introduced game drives and night drives to the Xugana experience with the addition of game drive vehicles now permanently based in the private concession!

The additional activity allows Xugana Island Lodge to offer a fully immersive Okavango Delta experience focusing on both land and water based activities. The activities on offer at Xugana Island Lodge include mokoro excursions, motorized boat safaris, walking safaris with experienced armed guides and daily game drives and night drives.

The activities at Xugana Island Lodge are completely tailored to each traveler's needs, allowing them to choose what activities they would like to experience.

We introduced the vehicles in the concession several months ago which allowed us to test the activity through both the wet and dry seasons. Guest's have had incredible sightings of wild dog dens, herds of sable, predators and enjoyed the thrill of combining game-drives, guided walking safaris and mokoro activities on a single outing. A true Okavango Delta experience.

The updated Xugana Island Lodge factsheet is available for download from our Dropbox folder.
