Each Christmas season, SCL celebrates the birth of the world's savior Jesus. What a privilege it is for us to spread this message of God's grace throughout the Twin Cities, the United States, and the world through the ministry of St. Croix Lutheran. New Academic Dean 
Mr. Ryan Rathje has accepted a call to St. Croix Lutheran for the position of Academic Dean for grades 6-12. Rathje is a 1998 graduate of MLC and currently serves as the Director of Education at Manitowoc Lutheran High School (MLHS) in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
The SCL academic dean position was previously held by Mr. Todd Russ, but when he accepted the call to serve as the president of SCL in 2015, the responsibilities of the dean were divided among Russ, the high school and middle school principals, and two faculty members.
Russ says of Rathje, "In my discussions with him, I heard his vision for academics as well as leadership philosophy. He will be an outstanding fit for our ministry and will challenge all of us to strive for excellence!"
Please keep Mr. Rathje, his family, MLHS, and SCL in your prayers. Rathje will begin serving in July 2017.

Give to the Max Day Results
In championship style, SCL parents and friends contributed a stunning $17,425 from individuals plus a $10,000 matching gift for a total of $27,425 on Give to the Max Day, November 17. Thank you for your generous support of SCL students!

Football to State 7 Years Straight
The Crusader football team celebrated an undefeated season until the final seconds
of their last game at the state 3A Prep Bowl in the new U.S. Bank stadium on Saturday, November 26. With trickery and a little luck, Rochester Lourdes snuck in a touchdown and handed the 'Saders a 2nd place finish. The first state 3A Prep Bowl in the new stadium was dynamic! Night To Shine
is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs. The school is expecting to welcome over 200 participants from the community to this extraordinary event. Over 230 SCL students have signed up to help.
