Frenship Independent School District is calling for a tax ratification election (TRE) that will shift $.02 from the Interest and Sinking tax rate, or Debt Service tax rate, to the Maintenance and Operations tax rate.

Shifting just $.02 will provide FISD with an additional $1.2 million in state funding and local revenue. This will allow FISD to provide students with additional programs and technology enhancements WITHOUT a school tax increase.

Lubbock Arts Alliance - Long Range Planning Calendar

The Lubbock Arts Alliance has entered into an agreement with Civic Lubbock, Inc. to prepare, coordinate and distribute a multi-year planning calendar listing the major art and entertainment events in the community. This was done in an effort to minimize scheduling conflicts which could lessen audiences for all involved. If your organization would like to become a part of the ever growing Lubbock long range planning calendar, click here  for more information and see an example of the calendar.
