Almost 150 Leschi Elementary students go on a field trip to see Grammy-nominated chamber group  Imani Winds, at no cost.

This year, a  long-time partner organization, Meany Center for the Performing Arts, provided SMP with enough matinee tickets to bring Leschi Elementary's entire 4th and 5th grade classes on a field trip to see Imani Winds , a Grammy-nominated chamber group that " actively seeks to engage new music and new voices into the modern classical idiom," at no cost to the students or the school. The performers gave students a fantastic show and engaged them in an inspiring and relatable portrait of classical music, from beginning to end. We are thankful for such a long-lasting partnership that keeps getting better!
